Jeff Tirey the CEO of Pre23 and Co-Founder of Mongoose Metrics will speak at SMX West’s Theater Presentation on behalf of Mongoose Metrics.  The Search Marketing Expo (SMX) is an industry leading Interent marketing conference.  SMX West will be held this year March 2 -4 in Santa Clara, CA.  The presentation will focus on Mongoose Metrics’ phone call tracking integration abilities.  Mongoose Metrics, which developed the  first phone call tracking integration with Google Analytics in 2007 has expanded its integration abilities to a wide variety of platforms.

With Mongoose Metrics’ session-based phone call tracking platform, the integration abilities are virtually limitless.  Mongoose Metrics integration abilities include CRM application vendors such as SalesForce and SugarCRM, enterprise web analytics platforms including Omniture and Webtrends, and a variety of additional applications including a/b split test and multivarient testing applications such as Google Website Optimizer.

How To Move Wordpress from Subdomain to Root

If you’re like me, you started your Wordpress blog as a subdomain and now you wish to move it to root.  Here’s what I did to successfully move my Wordpress 2.8.5 blog:

1. Login to Wordpress Admin and under General > Settings change the wordpress address and blog address URLS.

2. Using an FTP client, such as FileZilla, move all files from your subdomain directory to the root.

done!

If you are using permalinks, you may have to update them. There are plugins to help you with this.  I use permalinks and did not since blog.mydomain to www.mydomain change had no effect on the link path.

I hope this helps and yes it’s as easy as you thought it would be.
